  • Welcome from Group Chair:

Welcome to HELOA Anglia. The Anglia group has a membership of 9 HEIs, and has four meetings throughout the year to share good practice and to discuss issues in the sector. We are committed to supporting one another through the exciting and challenging world of education liaison, through open discussion in our group and regular training opportunities.

As a group, we have produced a newsletter for teachers and advisors, and aim to continue looking at ways both to raise awareness of HELOA Anglia and provide useful information to our colleagues in schools and colleges.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the group and the opportunities available on the committee, and I look forward to meeting you at one of our meetings.

    Training Opportunities
    Annual Training Day

The date and venue for the 2014 HELOA Anglia training day will be confirmed shortly. If you have any suggestions or ideas for the 2014 training day please email Sian Hiskey, Anglia Group Vice-Chair (Training).

All HELOA Anglia meetings begin with an update from a Student Finance England consultant. With on-going changes and developments in student finance, the group takes this opportunity to discuss specific changes, and to share good practice in communicating with prospective students, their advisors, and internal colleagues about finance.

The HELOA Anglia group have an annual training day each year where training sessions are followed by HELOA business. The training day in October 2013 included an opportunity for informal networking over lunch, an interactive keynote session run by Rachel Lister, University of Cambridge and Mike Nicholson, University of Oxford and a meet your market session with current sixth form students. Optional training sessions contained themes covering student recruitment, digital marketing, working with children with specific learning disabilities and The Future of IAG, all delivered by university professionals and external guests. Details of the 2014 HELOA Anglia training day will be available shortly.
