After the success of our National Conference 2025, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting our next National Conference from Wednesday 14 January – Friday 16 January 2026.

We will be updating this page with programme and speaker details as well as booking information later in the year, so keep an eye out!

Could you be a speaker at the next National Conference?

One of HELOA’s core goals is to share best practice across the HE sector. If you would like to be considered to present a session at National Conference 2026, please complete this Expression of Interest form.

We are especially looking for speakers who can present about the following areas:

  1. How to improve your networking skill
  2. Making the most of a temporary contract
  3. Coping with Change, in an unstable sector
  4. How to convert offer holders? Applicant days and beyond 
  5. Subject/ faculty recruitment events- What works and what doesn’t? 
  6. Working with academic colleagues to deliver effective outreach
  7. Large scale events- Open to all ideas
  8. Attracting and converting students on a small budget 
  9. Disability access support- How can we best support those with a disability when applying/ transitioning to university?
  10. How can we support WP students transition into the first year of their studies?
  11. What will be the future of WP? WP looking forward.
  12. Working with Mature Students
  13. How to break down social barriers to higher education
  14. The future of the prospectus
  15. Intro to HE Marketing/ How to get the most out of your HE marketing. 
  16. How to embed authentic student voice in your marketing campaigns?
  17. WP in postgraduate (specifically with focus on PGR)
  18. Conversion events for the PG market
  19. PG Full-time/Part-time/evening classes/distance learning trend
  20. Looking after our mental health and our teams/ managing stress/ maintaining a health work life balance
  21. Utilising relationships in wider teams (CRM, marketing etc)
  22. Retention and training of student ambassadors
  23. Using different types of ambassadors (subject ambassadors/WP ambassadors)
  24. Building and maintaining a strong and motivated team 
  25. Running events on a small budget
