Links With Other Organisations
In support of HELOA aims, he association has links with a range of university admissions and information, advice and guidance agencies including SPA, NASMA, SLC and UCAS.
SPA recognises the aims of HELOA in supporting students in making informed choices and is considering the endorsement of the HELOA code of conduct.
HELOA has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the SLC regarding support for the delivery of information to applicants and potential students regarding the new finance arrangements in England, Student Finance England.
Training events have been set up across the UK by SLC supported by HELOA and NASMA.
HELOA is working with NASMA to develop common training opportunities for members in the area of student finance
UCAS recognises the high level of expertise and wide experience HELOA members possess regarding the dissemination of information for potential students and their families/carers. HELOA members are frequently consulted by UCAS. HELOA members are frequently asked to join UCAS and UCAS/DCFS working groups. HELOA and UCAS meet regularly to explore and develop a range of IAG issues.
