Training is a key priority for our members and HELOA organises a number of training opportunities open to all members of the organisation.

Each year there is a Beginners’ Conference aimed at those members who are new to their role or the sector. Sessions are led by experienced education liaison professionals and offer an opportunity to gain an insight into a career in education liaison as well as some of the issues experienced by staff working in this sector. In the past these have proven to be a great opportunity to share best practice and have provided an excellent networking opportunity.

For more experienced HELOA members there is the opportunity to attend one of the two Experienced Practitioner Conferences. The themes for 2011 are ‘Widening Participation – 2011 and Beyond’ and ‘The Future of Careers Guidance’. All events will be held in the late autumn.
