Higher Education Conventions

The University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) co-ordinates a network of Higher Education Conventions and HELOA supports this activity by contributing to overall planning and development of the network.

These events support prospective students in finding out more about higher education institutions and courses. They are held all over the UK, and provide an opportunity for prospective students, schools/colleges advisers and parents to speak directly to a wide range of university/college and HE-related representatives.

At these events, visitors can also pick up information such as prospectuses and course information and attend seminars and talks on subjects such as Student Finance, Application to University, Student Life, and talks on studying specific subjects (many of which are provided by HELOA members). Much of the advice at these events is given by HE representatives who are members of HELOA. See the information on the UCAS site for details of events, dates and locations.
